Women in the Civil War

Last year saw the beginning of the commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the start of the Civil War. These events allow our fellow reenactors  to pay honor,  many of which are descendants of those who fought for the blue and grey. Women  often set up along the sidelines, not really taking part in the battles.Historians have unearthed stories of women who also took up arms along side of those men, some of which, also died along those same men.
